We are not talking about the future, we are talking about a present in which, as a society and as journalists, we face new challenges: the fight against disinformation and the need for journalism that does not stay on the surface and that investigates and tells reality to citizens with data.
From Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid and Fundación Maldita.es we launch this Master’s Own Degree in investigative journalism, new narratives, data, fact-checking and transparency with the aim of training professionals for this new present; a present in which we commit to journalism as a public service for citizens. Data journalists, developers and product managers from the most innovative digital media in Spain and Ibero-America, together with reporters and investigators with long careers, teach this own degree in which you will learn to find, investigate, verify and visualize major journalistic stories. The master’s degree is taught by PhDs and active professionals: data journalists, developers, product managers and investigative journalists with long careers teach this Master’s Own Degree in investigative journalism, new narratives, data, fact-checking and transparency.
