The list of speakers also includes Giorgos Kallis, a Greek researcher working on environmental justice and the limits to growth, and Xaquín García-Muros, a postdoctoral researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) and an expert on climate change from a class perspective.
This year ‘La Uni Climática’ also appeals to the responsibility of public administrations when designing public policies. Speaking on this topic will be Maisa Rojas, Chile’s Minister of the Environment and IPCC expert; Zakia Khattabi, Belgium’s Minister of Climate, Environment, Sustainable Development and the Green Deal; and Teresa Ribera, Spain’s Third Vice President and Minister for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. Selwin Hart, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General and Assistant Secretary-General for the Climate Action Team, will also take part.
