Women Action Sustainability (WAS) granted the WAS 2026 Award in the Communication category to Fundación Maldita.es. This recognition honours organisations or individuals “who have made a relevant contribution to integrating environmental, social and/or governance aspects within the economic sphere and/or business management, while fostering territorial cohesion.” The jury highlighted the contribution of Maldita.es and its section Maldito Clima in combating disinformation through verified sources and scientific evidence.
The award was presented on 11 March 2026 during the ceremony of the 4th edition of the WAS Awards, held at CaixaForum Madrid.
The fourth edition of the WAS Awards received 77 nominations submitted by WAS members and Friends of WAS. After an initial selection process, the jury chose the winners from three finalists in each category. The nominations were evaluated by an independent jury according to criteria such as exemplary action, differentiation, commitment, visibility, excellence, and impact.
