Maldita.es won one of three prizes at the International Press Institute's Media Blend Hackathon 2024 in Sarajevo. Competed among 10 European media teams with a proposal for a technological suite for knowledge management and community participation, focused on media sustainability and innovation.

Project funded by the European Climate Foundation to continue and expand Maldito Clima as the multi-platform online reference for evidence-based climate information in Spain. The initiative counters climate mis/disinformation through daily monitoring, fact-checking, explainer articles and social media content on TikTok and Instagram. It strengthens citizen participation via the WhatsApp chatbot and La Dudoteca platform, where citizens can resolve climate information doubts with verified experts. The project also supports a network of local journalists fighting climate misinformation.
