The Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York selected Ana Gómez Parra, newsroom coordinator at Maldita.es, for the product development program for small newsrooms, which is carried out with the support of the Google News Initiative and the News Product Alliance.

The Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, the Google News Initiative, and the News Product Alliance select Maldita.es for their product development program for newsrooms

The two-month program aims to help news organizations adopt product design methodologies in their workflow in order to become more sustainable and efficient.

Ana Gómez Parra was selected together with 24 other journalists from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa who work in different types of media such as magazines, newspapers, television, and radio. The process will be guided by experts from the media industry and product design field.

The program will support the team’s learning in order to develop technological products that can help the work carried out by the Maldita.es newsroom in the fight against disinformation.
